Barefoot Party on the Equinox!

The opening party on March 21, 2011 was so much fun!  Thanks to everyone who made it.

Highlights: Organic pear and cherry wines from Montana (Ten Spoon Winery), hand-crafted beer from Red Lodge Ales (a brewery making huge efforts in sustainability), amazing food by chef Michael Caracciolo including local, organic, grass-fed beef from Eagle Ridge Ranch, desserts from the Co-op, music by Ben and Marian from KGLT's Honky Hop Show and new original artwork by Amy Kelley showcasing eco-friendly aspects of the business.

We all had so much fun toasting the new business and celebrating spring.  If you missed it, stay tuned for the next party!

"Thanks for the powerful healing." ~ Greg Mortenson, director of Central Asia Institute and author of national bestseller, Three Cups of Tea

Philosophy

Bozeman Massage Therapy LLC, located in Bozeman, Montana, is an environmentally friendly and socially conscious massage practice.  Through the profound healing benefits of massage therapy and all our business practices, we aim to help our clients while also making the whole world a better place.

Our logo is inspired by the Tibetan Buddhist symbol called the "Wheel of Life." Owner Jenny LePage first saw this symbol on a drum in a Tibetan Buddhist temple in Bozeman, Montana, soon after spending time in Dharamsala, India, home of the Dalai Lama in exile.  Touched by interactions with monks and Tibetan refugees and drawn to the heart of the Buddhist teaching of compassion, a Tibetan symbol fit naturally as the centerpiece of the logo.  The movement in the symbol is also symbolic; three swirling teardrops offer a suggestion of balance and movement, instrumental to health and healing in the body.  After incorporating this symbol into the logo, Jenny discovered it is the symbol for enlightenment itself!  How fitting.

The symbol in the logo is also infused with Tibetan prayer flags inscribed with a message of goodwill for all.  The Avalokiteshvara mantra - om mani padme hum - is written all over the prayer flags in the Sanskrit language.  Meaning, "May all beings be free and happy," even the logo itself sends an intention of goodness to the world.

We strive to offer the highest quality massage while making conscious choices to support the heart of our mission.  Starting with quality foundation of education, skill and compassion in staff, supporting staff with decent living wages and benefits, using sustainable building materials and choosing business associates and buying products from companies also making conscious efforts in sustainability, the healing intention centers around you and reaches to hold a vision for the health and well-being of the entire planet.

We want to help you feel as good as you possibly can - whether you are healing an injury, scheduling regular sessions as part of your life, enhancing athletic performance, managing an illness or condition, seeking balance, improving alignment, or simply enjoying the healing benefits of touch, we will do all we can to provide you the best care possible while making efforts to contribute to the well-being of all.
